Pete's Cafe | Our Story
Hutchins' favorite stop since 1975
Pete's Cafe started as a roadside destination along I-45 in Hutchins, Texas, and grew into something bigger — a place where locals, families, and travelers all end up feeling at home.
The kind of place you remember
Regulars come in two or three times a week, and first-time visitors leave already planning their next trip. It's honest hospitality — you either have it or you don't.
Real food, made right
Chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, homemade mashed potatoes, from-scratch cornbread — a broad menu where the kitchen never cuts corners.
A second home on Belt Line Road
Pete's opened in Farmers Branch to meet demand from across Dallas — same warmth, same quality, just a different zip code.
Still going strong
As one longtime guest put it: "They did it right back then, and they're doing it right now." Nearly five decades in, the green booths are still full.
